About Me
I teach 4th grade at Michael R. White STEM. I have been teaching for 21 years with 20 of those years in the Cleveland Metropolitan School District. I have taught all grades from first through fifth but most of my teaching experience has been in fourth grade. I graduated from Baldwin Wallace in 1995 with a degree in theatre and continued my schooling at Cleveland State University to receive my elementary teaching certificate. I have a Masters degree in Reading and Literacy from Walden University. My daughter Emily is a senior at Bowling Green State University studying dance and business. I have 3 dogs, Maggie, Molly, and Milo that love to snuggle and take naps. Most evenings I can be found at the theater either acting, directing, stage managing, or just enjoying a live performance.
Our ClassI've heard it said
That people come into our lives For a reason Bringing something we must learn And we are led To those who help us most to grow If we let them And we help them in return Well I don't know if I believe that's true But I know I'm who I am today Because I knew you... - Glinda, Wicked |
What are we Learning?
Our mission at Michael R. White STEM School is “All students designing real-world solutions for the 21st century.” This mission will be evident in my classroom by providing a rigorous curriculum focused on cross-curricular project-based learning that involves real-world problem solving, engineering and design principles, and creative innovation that will prepare your child for the future.
